This cost efficient material has an irregular particle shape with smooth edges, a very narrow particle size distribution and the low level of fines offered by ALTHEA, which will optimize your separating power and save you time and money.
The irregular silica gel has two kinds of specifications, 40-63 µm and 25-40 µm.
The pH of ALTHEA’s irregular silica gel is kept between 6.5-7.5. Aneutral pH is needed to separate pH sensitive compounds.
Water level of silica gel can affects the selectivity of the silica. ALTHEA’s irregular silica gel has a controlled water content of 4% to 6%.
Higher surface area (500m2/g for 600 a pore size) provides greater separation power.
Tight particle size distribution and high batch-to-batch reproducibility.
